APPALACHIA 19, J.I. BURTON 13 - Need a ticket to the game? There are a few still available.

CASTLEWOOD 14, THOMAS WALKER 7 - Remember, losing streaks are based on past performances and have no bearing on future results. Hak-kaff!

POWELL VALLEY 33, SEYMOUR 14 - Pow! Pow! Pow! Say no more, Powell Valley will sock it to Seymour in a revenge game.

RICHLANDS 55, HONAKER 7 - Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

CLINTWOOD 21, HAYSI 20 - Clintwood will open up the playbook after halftime.

J.J. KELLY 7, POUND 6 - Fumbles and field position should tell the tale.

HOLSTON 13, TWIN SPRINGS 7 - Punting will take on added significance in the third quarter.

VIRGINIA HIGH 33, JOHN BATTLE 6 - Keep in mind, this is not Bill Battle the Bearcats are playing.

ERVINTON 12, HURLEY 6 - Blocking and tackling are essential to winning. Motivation also helps.

MARION 14, NORTHWOOD 13 - The Scarlet Hurricane can hang with the best Northwood has to offer.

I'm not questioning his picking of games, but are the 'witty' comments ever needed, useful, logical or any of the above????

He's losing his touch in the humor department in my opinion, Rocketer. If he'd be a little more colorful or risque with his predictions, I think it would be more entertaining.

That what makes it interesting. Just picking games is boring, but Hoople makes it fun.
When I was in HS, I could not wait to see what Hoople was gonna say about the weekly games!

I never wanted to read what he had to say. Most of them made no sense. I agree that just scores is boring, but not 'the mountain made them do it' or 'sometimes a fire burns'....

Honestly...I think about 2/3 of the people who post on here could come up with something wittier. You don't have to down the other team or anything just it helps to make some sense [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
